IBI SPIKES was founded by IBI Capital of IBI Investment House group, one of the leading investment houses in Israel, and by SPIKES’ team of three Israeli/American entrepreneurs with a wide experience in startups’ funding, including hundreds of RBF transactions, and in global financial markets.
Our mission is to change the way startups raise capital. Our philosophy is simple: businesses should have equitable access to fast, fair, and flexible financing without dilution to the founders and shareholders.
Management
BJ has over 20 years of experience in funding and leading startups. Most recently BJ served for seven years as CEO of Lighter Capital, a leading RBF investor in the U.S. Under his leadership, Lighter Capital grew to the most active RBF fund in the world. During his tenure, Lighter completed over 650 financings of tech startups.
Prior to Lighter Capital, BJ served as CFO of a public cleantech company, Power Efficiency, and as a Partner in a VC fund, Summit Energy Ventures, which funded Seed and Series A equity rounds. BJ holds an MA in International Studies & an MBA from the University of Washington.BJ Lackland - CIO
